Adam Madrid is a self-taught filmmaker in Jacksonville, Florida. Adam’s career took flight in 2014 when he claimed both “Best Film” and “Best Director” at the Jacksonville 48 Hour Film Project, earning a screening at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, CA. His talent and dedication soon garnered attention, leading to an invitation to join the gameday crew for the Jacksonville Jaguars the same year.

In 2017, he was hired as a videographer/photographer for PRI Productions, capturing iconic moments at events such as Jacksonville Jazz Festival, NASA / Space X launch, performances by Celine Dion and Jill Scott, NCAA March Madness tournaments, presidential speeches, and NFL events.

Driven by a desire to spotlight local talent, Adam co-created LOL JAX Film Festival, a platform dedicated to highlighting local filmmakers, actors, actresses, stand-up comedians. LOL stands for “Love Our Locals” while “Laughing Out Loud”. After a successful first year, he became the new co-city producer for the JAX 48 Hour Film Project and brought new life into the international film competition.

In 2021, Adam began production on his first independent feature film with Argyle Forest Films, “Let Me Be Corey,” that he both directed and edited. In 2023, he was awarded the Art Innovator of the Year award.

Adam has been recognized by Folio Weekly’s Best of JAX for “Best Film Festival,” “Best Videographer,” and “Best Creative Photographer.” In 2023, he was selected to be part of Mayor Donna Deegan’s Arts, Culture, and Entertainment Committee, along with the sub-committee for Culture as Destination.

Adam Madrid’s unwavering commitment to highlight the talents of Jacksonville’s film community stems from his belief in the city’s boundless potential.

Adam Madrid is the first ever “Film Production Coordinator” for the City of Jacksonville Film and Television Office. He is a self-taught filmmaker. He is the director and editor for “Argyle Forest Films”. He is the co-creator of the “LOL JAX Film Festival” and City Producer of “The JAX 48 Hour Film Project”. He recently won Folio Weekly’s Best of JAX “Best Filmmaker”.
